The Wayne County Sheriff's Office received information that Wilmarth allegedly posted a comment on Facebook stating that he was going to shoot a Wayne County family court judge.

NYS police assisted in the investigation by confronting Wilmarth at his home. Upon arrival, Wilmarth answered the door while holding a rifle and then proceeded to barricade himself inside his home.

Three hours later Wilmarth was taken into custody without incident.

Wilmarth was arraigned in the Town of Lyons.

He was remanded to the Wayne County Jail on a $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.

He is scheduled to appear back in court on August 8.
