"There was a plan to commit a class A felony, which in this case is murder in the second degree," Wayne County Assistant District Attorney Christine Callanan said. "The participants in the conspiracy had knowledge of it [the plan] and they took some overaction."

Prosecutors say he talked about the deaths with the accused shooter Timothy Dean and Dean's wife, Charlene Childers. Bohlar is also accused of renting a car for Dean to drive to New York to carry out the crime.

Bohlar’s lawyer says he's innocent and didn't know anything before the murders.

"He simply rented a car for a friend to help out a friend and that was it," attorney James Riotto said. "He had no idea that any of this was going to happen."

Bohlar is being held on $300,000 bond in the Cayuga County Jail. He is due back in court on Feb. 7.

Dean and Childers are in the Wayne County Jail.

Dean is charged with one count of first-degree murder, two counts of second-degree murder, two counts of criminal possession of a weapon, and conspiracy. Childers is facing one count of murder in the second degree, conspiracy, and criminal possession of a weapon.
