ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The 2019 Rochester International Airshow is set for take-off this weekend. You may have already heard the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds flying around town.

A portion of the show's proceeds will be donated to our local veterans through Honor Flight Rochester.

The show will impact traffic in and out of the Greater Rochester International Airport. Terminal Circle and Airport Way, which runs by the cell phone parking lot, will be shut down between 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Friday, and between 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. this weekend.

So how do you get to your flight? Deputies will be directing passengers to on-site parking areas, and you can access the terminal from there.

Several streets around the airport will also be closed for the airshow including Old Beahan Road, Milstead Way, and Patriot Way and
a portion of Paul Road between Chili Avenue and Scottsville Road. These streets will be closed from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Brooks Avenue will remain open.

Gates open at 9:30 a.m. Saturday. Kids 12 and under are free with a paying adult.
