ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Chair of New York's Assembly Judiciary Committee says its impeachment investigation into Governor Andrew Cuomo will take months, not weeks.

Charles Levine made the comments Tuesday, as the committee met Tuesday morning to discuss the investigation. The committee is trying to determine if the governor used his office to sexually harass or assault women who worked for him.

The investigation will also look into COVID deaths in nursing homes to determine if information was withheld or misrepresented.

Accusers of Cuomo have called the investigation a "sham" with an attorney calling it "a conflict of interest."

Levine says Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP, the firm hired to lead the impeachment inquiry, will set up a hotline
