The convention is a celebration of as organizers put it "anime, cosplay and nerd culture."

The event brought out vendors, artists and fans in full costume.

The whole weekend is orchestrated by volunteer members of the R.I.T. Anime club.

"Any anime or cool stuff that a lot of geeks are into, everybody like that, movies, TV shows anything like that. People can come people can hang out. Have a good time. Dress up. It's like Halloween in April," said Alex Mott, a Tora-Con regular.

Over the weekend, guests got to join panel discussions on everything from furry fandom to full metal alchemist and even japan's biggest ever creature creation Godzilla.

They also got to get serious about intellectual property issues with a talk about to spot bootleg merchandise and support the real artists of their favorite comics and cartoons.
