ULSTER COUNTY, N.Y. (WHEC) -- Two people were hurt, including a state trooper, when a tractor-trailer hit two cars on Interstate 87 Wednesday in Ulster County.
State police say Trooper Thomas Hanigan was pulled over in his patrol car, helping two people change a tire.
That's when the truck hit his patrol car and the disabled SUV.
One person was able to jump over the guardrail to safety. The other person was pushed into the guardrail.
Thankfully none of the injuries were life-threatening.
The trucker was ticketed for moving from his lane unsafely and violating the move over law.
