Travel advisories issued as storm hits region

(WHEC) – Travel advisories have been issued for some local counties due to the winter storm.

A travel advisory has been issued already for Livingston, Seneca, and Cayuga County.

The advisory for Livingston County will be in effect until 10 p.m. Tuesday. 

The advisory for Seneca County will be in effect until midnight but the Seneca County sheriff is asking for no unnecessary travel until Wednesday morning.

The travel advisory does not restrict travel, but deputies say drivers should slow down and be prepared for rough weather conditions.
