Travel advisories issued as storm hits region

(WHEC) -  Travel advisories have been issued for some local counties due to the winter storm.

A no unnecessary travel advisory has been issued for the following counties:

- Livingston County - As of 5 p.m. Sunday, the travel advisory will be lifted

- Monroe County - 1 p.m. Saturday through noon Sunday

- Ontario County - 6 p.m. Saturday through 6 p.m. Sunday

- Seneca County - until 1 p.m. Sunday

- Wayne County - 8 p.m. Saturday through 6 p.m. Sunday

- Yates County - 6 p.m. through 6 p.m. Sunday

This does not restrict travel, but residents are urged to stay off the roads due to hazardous driving conditions. If you do have to travel, you are urged to use extreme caution.
