ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) -- The $26,000 raised by the community after the death of 14-year-old Trevyan Rowe will finally go to the family.
The fundraiser was intended to help Trevyan's family with funeral costs, however, someone connected to Trevyan's family filed a complaint to GoFundMe.
The money, as per policy, was then frozen until the matter was resolved.
The teen wandered away from School 12 last year. His body was found in the Genesee River days later.
GoFundMe's spokesperson tells News10NBC the parties involved in the dispute have reached an agreement, and the funds will be transferred per that agreement.
