ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) – The trial of the man accused of hitting and killing a toddler in Rochester is set to begin Tuesday.
Frank Cassata of Mount Morris is facing several charges including second-degree murder.
Investigators say Cassata was driving drunk and intentionally went off the road trying to hit another man, but instead hit three-year-old Amir Pallet on Lyell Avenue back in June.
Police say Cassata left the scene but was arrested the next day.
His trial is scheduled to begin Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the Hall of Justice.
