Troopers: Man found lying on I-490 with serious head injury

UPDATE: State Police say Tabarri Goins ran up to the back of a milk truck and tried to climb onto the back of the truck. Troopers say he either fell or jumped off of the truck. Strong Hospital says Goins is in guarded condition.

State police are investigating after reports of a man lying in the road on I-490.

On Oct. 15 around 3 a.m., troopers were called to I-490 west at the Brown Street ramp for a man lying in the road. When state police arrived, they say the man had already been taken to Strong Hospital with a severe head injury.

The man has been identified as 24-year-old Tabarri Goins of Rochester. The investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the injuries. Investigators are looking at video of cameras in the area and speaking to friends and family members of Goins.
