After saying "human error" by a Twitter employee caused President Trump's Twitter account to be deactivated on Thursday, Twitter admitted a departing employee was responsible for the interruption.
Twitter says the account was down for 11 minutes, but was then restored.
"We are continuing to investigate the incident and are taking steps to prevent this from happening again," an official Twitter account tweeted on Thursday.
The temporary blackout didn't seem to affect the president, who sent out a handful of tweet tackling topics like the tax reform plan and the visa lottery.
