Two seriously hurt in Friday head-on crash in Geneva

GENEVA, N.Y. (WHEC)- Two people were seriously injured in a crash on Friday in Geneva.

Our news partners at the Messenger-Post, citing the Ontario County Sheriff's Office, say that the head-on crash on County Road 6 early Friday afternoon occurred when 57-year-old Dundee woman traveling south was struck by a 29-year-old woman named Colleen Timmons, who had lost control and left the road before re-entering it and crossing into the oncoming lane.

The Dundee woman, Connie Greenfield, was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital with head and leg injuries and was listed in guarded condition on Friday. A 16-year-old in her vehicle was treated in Penn Yan for hip pain and was released. Timmons was flown to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Both drivers had been trapped in their car and had to be removed by members of the West Lake Road Fire Association. 

County Road 6 was closed between Reed and Kashong roads for two hours during the investigation.
