Body of Henrietta man pulled from Irondequoit Bay

WEBSTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Monroe County Sheriff's Office confirmed the recovery of a body from Irondequoit Bay on Sunday morning.

Deputies say three men were on a canoe on the bay when it flipped over Saturday afternoon. Two of the men managed to swim back shore, but the 27-year-old Henrietta man never made it.

The victim was taken to the Monroe County Medical Examiner's Office for positive identification.

The incident is still under investigation.
