The U.S attorneys' office in Manhattan is investigating Crystal Run Healthcare for their donations to Governor Cuomo's campaign, according to a report from the Albany Times Union.
The Hudson Valley healthcare company received $25.4 million in state grants. This followed a series of campaign contributions to Governor Cuomo.
The investigation included testimonies from multiple Crystal Run employees. Through these testimonials it was revealed that Crystal Run executives, their spouses or company doctors have given at least $400,000 to Cuomo's campaign.
Most of that money came through 10 donations of $25,000 which were made at a Cuomo fundraiser back in October 2013.
In 2017 the Times Union reported that seven of those $25,000 donors had not made a contribution in a New York election for at least a decade.
This was according to state Board of Elections records.
