Family holds candlelight vigil for hit and run victim

The family of a Rochester woman killed Friday in a hit and run accident held a candlelight vigil in her honor Saturday evening. 

Family members of Nilsa Rivera gathered at the spot on Clifford Avenue where the 62-year old woman was hit by what police describe as a small dark colored SUV.

The driver reportedly ran a stop sign and hit Rivera who died a short time later at Strong Memorial Hospital.

Rivera's family is asking the person who hit her to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 423-9300.
