WARSAW, N.Y. (WHEC) -- The Town of Warsaw and the Village of Warsaw are under a boil water advisory due to a water main break in the village Monday.
When a water main loses pressure, it increases the chance that untreated water and harmful microbes can enter the water supply.
Residents are urged to boil water for one minute before use or use bottled water until further notice. This includes drinking, making ice, washing dishes, brushing teeth and preparing foods.
So that the water distribution system and water storage tank can more quickly fill, the Village of Warsaw has issued a Water Conservation Order through Wednesday, Feb. 13.
