Owen Hidalgo-Calderon has been missing since May 16. His mother, 18-year-old Selena Hidalgo-Calderon, was found dead on a farm where she worked in Sodus.

Police had searched the Sodus farm and surrounding areas for young Owen but were unsuccessful in their search.

On May 24, the boyfriend of Selena, Alberto Ebarado Gutierrez-Reyes, was arrested by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office on tampering charges related to the missing person case of Selena Hidalgo-Calderon and her son, Owen.

Reyes admitted to having buried Selena, but did not admit to killing her. He is scheduled to appear in Wayne County Court Thursday at 9:30 a.m. He is being held in the Wayne County Jail on a $25,000 bail.

As of right now, the only charge he's facing in Wayne County is tampering with evidence. However, Reyes is also being federally charged for illegally re-entering the country using counterfeit documents.

According to a release from the United States Department of Justice, Reyes has been charged with "possession of a counterfeit social security card and alien registration card, and illegal re-entry after deportation." Those charges each carry a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
