Sodus man arrested for starving dogs

A Sodus man is under arrest after it was discovered he deprived his two dogs of necessary food and drink for weeks.

According to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office, 43-year-old James W. Farrell was arrested on Thursday following an investigation that occurred at his Ridge Road residence in March. He now faces two county of Animal Cruelty for the failure to provide proper sustenance, and he is set to appear in the Town of Sodus Court at a later day.

The dogs were seized by Wayne County animal cruelty officers and taken to the Wayne County Humane Society. Farrell has agreed to turn over the dogs to the Humane Society, where they will be available for adoption.
