WEBSTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A motorcyclist died from his injuries after a crash in Klem Road in Webster Monday night and a driver is facing vehicular manslaughter, as well as other charges.
The crash happened at the intersection of Five Mile Line Road at around 5:50 p.m.
Police say the crash was the result of a westbound sedan turning left in front of a motorcycle that was headed east.
The 62-year-old motorcyclist was taken to the hospital where he ended up dying from his injuries. Police later identified him as Scott D. Moss.
Police say the driver of the sedan wasn't injured, but the passenger was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police Tuesday announced that Jennifer Alexander, 34, was driving the sedan and that she was charged with second degree vehicular manslaughter, driving while ability impaired by drugs, unsafe turn and failure to yield the right of way.
Alexander was arraigned and released. She is due back in court on Friday.
The New York State Police Accident Reconstruction Team assisted the Webster Police Department due to the size of the crash.
