Wegmans recalls sushi sauce over undeclared allergen

Wegmans has recalled a sushi sauce because it may contain egg not listed on the label.

The product, Wegmans Thai Sweet Chili Sauce Cup 1.5 oz. (UPC7-66630-98023) with a best-by date of 7/4/18 or 7/5/18, is sold individually and is also included with two packaged sushi/Asian products also being recalled:

Wegmans Avocado Summer Roll, 2 Pack, 5 oz.
UPC: 2-48762-00000 or 2-48920-00000
Only packages with a use by date of 3/10/18 are affected.

Wegmans Assorted Gyoza (Dumplings), Family Pack, 17 oz.
UPC: 2-48798-00000 or 2-48963-00000
Only packages with a use by date of 3/9/18 to 3/12/18 are affected.

There have been no injuries or illnesses reported to date associated with the product. The recall was initiated after a Wegmans employee discovered the sauce had been packaged and labeled incorrectly.

Customers who purchased the recalled product from Wegmans should return it to the service desk for a full refund.
