A West Henrietta man is facing multiple charges after deputies say he threatened two women with a baseball bat at a park.

Deputies responded to Al Lorenz Park in Mount Morris just before 7 a.m. on Aug. 5 after receiving reports of two women being threatened by a man, later identified as 34-year-old Ashkan Bahrami, with a baseball bat.

Upon arrival, deputies found that Bahrami had already left the scene in his car.

Deputies say the women and Bahrami went to Mount Morris from Rochester when he became angry with them and began threatening them with the bat. Drugs and alcohol played a role in the incident, according to deputies.

Deputies spotted Bahrami driving north on I-390 in Avon and pulled him over. Deputies say he was under the influence of drugs and alcohol and in possession of marijuana and the baseball bat. Bahrami was also driving with a suspended driver's license.

Bahrami was arrested and charged with DWAI-drugs, DWAI combined drugs and alcohol, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, unlawful possession of marijuana, and two counts of menacing.

He was remanded to the Livingston County Jail on $500 cash bail or $1,000 bond for the menacing charges and an additional $500 cash bail or $1,000 bond for the DWI and traffic-related charges.
