Crane spent the past 21 years working for the district. He was principal for 6 years before becoming superintendent.

“My years in the West Irondequoit School District have certainly been fulfilling," Crane says "Please know how much I will always value being a part of the tradition of excellence that is the West Irondequoit Central School District.”

The district says that the school board will update the public on the search for his replacement in the near future.
