LYONS, N.Y. (WHEC) — The woman charged in connection to a double murder in Sodus is set to appear in court Thursday. A judge will decide what statements can be used as evidence in the case.
Prosecutors say Charlene Childers and her husband, Timothy Dean, a former Texas police chief, plotted to kill Childers' ex, Josh Niles.
Bron Bohlar, another former police officer charged in the case, pleaded guilty to conspiracy in February. He admitted to renting a car for Dean. Prosecutors say Dean used that car to drive from Texas to Sodus, where he shot and killed Niles and his fiancee, Amber Washburn.
Childers is due in Wayne County Court Thursday at 9 a.m.
