ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Dawn Nguyen was released from federal prison earlier this month, according to inmate lookup.

It shows that she was released from prison on June 4.

Nguyen was serving an eight-year sentence in West Virginia for selling guns to the man who ambushed and killed two firefighters in West Webster on Christmas Eve in 2012.

She was due to be released in July 2021.

Last year, she petitioned the court for early release citing fears of contracting the coronavirus while in prison, but her request was denied.
