According to federal prosecutors, in April of 2018, Szuba crossed over into oncoming traffic on Empire Boulevard in the Town of Webster.

She struck and killed Roger Cook and caused injuries to her passenger.

Prosecutors say Szuba consumed Xanax, alcohol and marijuana before the crash and that she acknowledged that her ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired.

Szuba is scheduled to be sentenced by May 30.
