CASTILE, N.Y. (WHEC) — Deputies identified the woman killed in a crash in Wyoming County on Tuesday.

Renee Morris, 38, of Portageville died in the crash on East Lake Road in Castile around 4:30 p.m. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deputies say the driver of the tractor-trailer, a man from New London, Connecticut, stopped at the intersection before turning and did not see the SUV. Morris drove into the back of the tractor-trailer, according to deputies.

Deputies are still investigating the crash, but say the dense fog was a contributing factor in the crash.

Two of Morris' children, who were in the back seat, were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital.

The 11-year-old suffered head trauma and is still hospitalized. The 10-year-old suffered minor injuries and since been discharged from the hospital.

Police say the driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured. He was cited with failure to yield the right of way at a stop sign.
