ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — News10NBC and MVP Healthcare are teaming up for our Health & Wellness Expo, and it is now less than a week away.

The expo is this Saturday, at RIT's Gordon Field House.

We've been previewing the wide range of screenings and attractions that will be there, and among those there will be the Penfield YMCA.

They'll be holding a body combat demo. Body combat is a fiercely energetic program that's inspired by martial arts and draws from a wide array of disciplines like karate.

Danielle Ohl is the body combat instructor at the YMCA.

"At the Y, we try to make sure all our classes are inclusive to all ages," she said. "I think today in my Monday morning class, I had moms dropping off kids at preschool, some men and women who have recently retired and are here now working out in the morning, I think one of my oldest members in my body combat class is almost 80-years-old."

Exercisers can burn up to 700 calories during a one-hour class.
