Hailie Higgins
Hailie Higgins has had her nose in news since she was a teenager. At 15, she started writing for her county’s newspaper, The Intelligencer. The day after her first article was published, she walked into her English teacher’s classroom and found her story hung up on the wall. She’s been working as a journalist ever since.
Hailie left her hometown outside of Philadelphia to attend the University of Rochester. There, she studied English and political science. She quickly got involved with the student paper, the Campus Times, and became editor-in-chief her junior year.
While in college, Hailie had the pleasure of getting off campus quite a bit for the paper’s food column. She was amazed to find that the restaurant scene in Rochester genuinely rivaled Philly’s, and knew she had to stick around for that alone (and, of course, all the other great things!)
She joins News10NBC from nearby WROC-TV, where she was a digital content producer. There, she wrote articles for the web and helped maintain the station’s social media accounts.
