PITTSFORD, N.Y. (WHEC) — In a crowded and noisy Pittsford Mendon gym, the Vikings Varsity Boys Basketball squad held off the Victor Blue Devils, 67-59 to remain unbeaten on the year.
It’s Victor’s first loss of the season. Jackson Green led the way for Mendon with 24 points, eight of which came at the free-throw line.
Kidder Lindley added 15 for the Vikings, who took a seven-point lead into the half.
Phil Nwugwo scored a team-high 23 points for the Blue Devils but a 59% mark from the field by the Vikings was too much to overcome.
