Assemblyman Brian Kolb due back in court next month

VICTOR, N.Y. (WHEC) — State Assemblyman Brian Kolb (R-131) was back in court Thursday on DWI charges that stem from an incident on New Year's Eve.

Kolb was charged after crashing his state-issued SUV into the ditch near his home. He agreed to pay for the damages personally.


His case was at a standstill for months because fo the coronavirus pandemic, but he was back in court Thursday for a deposition.

Kolb's hearing is scheduled for Oct. 27 at 9 a.m.

Yates County District Attorney Todd Casella was appointed special prosecutor in the case.
