Canandaigua Police charge Clifton Springs man previously caught in underage sex sting

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. (WHEC) — A Clifton Springs man is once again facing pedophilia-related charges.
Canandaigua Police say they found hundreds of disturbing images and videos of child porn while they were investigating Gary D. Lyman Jr. after arresting him during a sex sting in December.
Police arrested him when he thought he was having sexual conversations with a 14-year-old when in reality, he was speaking with an undercover detective with the Canandaigua Police Department.
Lyman was charged with attempted disseminating indecent material to a minor when police initially arrested him on Dec. 22.
On Wednesday, he was arrested again and charged with possession of obscene sexual performance of a child.
He was released on an appearance ticket and is due back in Canandaigua City Court on Feb. 9.
Canandaigua Police say they are still investigating Lyman and more charges against him are pending.
