MANCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Four men suffered injuries after a barn collapsed in Ontario County.
Deputies received a call to assist firefighters for a barn that collapsed on Stafford Road just after 7:45 a.m. Friday.
Initially, the call was to rescue three people who were inside when it collapsed. Upon arrival, deputies discovered there were four people under the structure, and one person was still trapped.
The four men were contracted by the homeowners to take down the barn and relocate it to another county.
One man was flown to Strong Memorial Hospital for a lower leg injury and chest pain. As of July 2, he remains in guarded condition.
Another man broke his right arm and remains in satisfactory condition at F.F. Thompson Hospital.
Two others were treated and released.
Stafford Road was closed for about two hours while emergency crews were on scene.
