Geneva man charged with attempted burglary after series of suspicious condition incidents

GENEVA, N.Y. (WHEC) — A Geneva man is facing an attempted burglary charge after an investigation into a series of suspicious condition incidents.

Geneva Police say those incidents all involved a man approaching houses occupied by female Hobart and William Smith College students and happened in the areas of Hamilton Street, Pulteney Street, Argyle Street and Madison Street.

Fernando A. Cruz, 31, was arrested early Thursday morning and brought to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment. Police say he is being held at the jail without bail and additional charges against him are pending.
