CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. (WHEC) — A Farmington man is facing multiple charges after police say he burglarized a home and stole a vehicle in the city of Canandaigua.

Sean M. Harloff, 31, of Farmington, was arrested and charged with one count of burglary in the second degree and one count of grand larceny in the third degree.

Police say on June 6 around 7:15 a.m. Harloff burglarized a home in the city of Canandaigua, stole a vehicle parked inside the garage, then fled the scene when confronted by the homeowner.

Then, on July 8 an Irondequoit Police officer spotted a car that was reported stolen from the city of Rochester. A car chase started and later ended outside a home on Bay Road near Route 104. Police say Harloff was the driver and then ran away from the car but was later found in the area.

Harloff was arraigned at Ontario County Court and transported back to Monroe County Jail where he is already being held without bail.

Police say additional charges are pending.
