ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Republican New York Congressman Tom Reed (R-NY 23) says he is "seriously considering" a run against Gov. Andrew Cuomo in the state's 2022 gubernatorial race.
Reed made the comments in an interview with Fox News on Sunday.
When News10NBC reached out to Reed's office for comment, a spokesman referred us to the story.
"We've been asked by many people to do this for months, because I think they appreciate the way I govern," Reed said in the interview.
Reed's maintained his "disgust" with the governor's handling of nursing home death numbers, going as far as to say Cuomo's days in office were "numbered."
To be clear, Reed has not declared his intention to run against Cuomo.
