ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A new poll from The Hill and Emerson College found that former governor Andrew Cuomo could be competitive if he runs again.

The poll surveyed 1,000 New York voters starting Wednesday.

In this hypothetical match-up, Gov. Kathy Hochul would lead the primary field with 37% of Democratic voters.

Cuomo would be second with 33%, Rep. Thomas Suozzi (D, NY-3) would be third and public advocate Jumaane Williams would be fourth.

Should Cuomo remain out of the race, Hochul would have a 42% advantage.

Cuomo has not said if he intends to run, but recent ads are putting him back in the public eye.

He resigned last August amid multiple scandals.
