ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Here’s a Good Question about voting– and COVID.

If you’re planning to vote in person on Election Day, do you have a backup if you can’t make it?

You can still apply In person to vote absentee through Monday, but what if you’re stuck at home? You got COVID- or came in contact with someone who has the virus—and now have to quarantine, you’re not allowed in public, plus you’ve missed the deadline to apply for absentee ballots online or through the mail, That was Tuesday?

Best option?

Get a friend or relative to turn in a signed absentee application for you, just be sure to fill out that section of your form to designate who that is, and they can pick up your ballot in person and bring it to you. They can drop it off, or you can put the ballot in the mail, just make sure it’s postmarked by Election Day.
