ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)— Here’s a Good Question about shopping at Wegmans: "Is there an aluminum foil shortage?"

With this new surge in COVID cases, we’re seeing more people stocking up on items at the grocery store: things like cleaning supplies, wipes, and sanitizer, but what about the foil?

Wegmans did put a limit on it, as right now, the company has it capped at two per customer.

A company spokesperson told News10NBC there’s no shortage of foil materials, but suppliers had to cut back on how much they can send out daily due to the pandemic. The spokesman said that’s a supply chain issue.

Wegmans wants to make sure there’s enough for everyone to get through the holiday season, and when supply picks up, the buying limit will go away.
