Good Question: Is this DMV text real, or a scam?

Several viewers got a suspicious message in recent days, it says "New York Department: We have an update on our regulation agreements. Every driver’s license holder must update their contact in compliance with it."

It then tells you to click on a link, don’t do that!

Here’s why.

News10NBC sent a message to the state’s DMV, right after we did that, the department sent out a warning saying it’s fake.

This is a phishing scheme that links to a bogus DMV website asking for your personal info.
