ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Here’s a Good Question about vaccine clinics in the Finger Lakes.

We know you hear a lot about COVID vaccine setups in Monroe County, Rochester, and state sites, but a viewer asked about other places in the Finger Lakes.

Mike says: Why are there no clinics in Ontario County?

Well, we have some good news. Ontario County is offering vaccine appointments at clinics. Just this week, qualified people had multiple options to go get shots. In Canandaigua, Geneva, and also nearby in Penn Yan, Yates County.

All of this info gets posted on the county’s public health page with times and locations, so be sure to check it each week.

Remember, there are other places you can go if you’re able. State sites at the Dome in Henrietta, and Syracuse don’t have residency requirements. There are also community health clinics and pharmacies if they have slots open.

If you live in another county besides Ontario—the Finger Lakes Vaccine Hub is a great resource for vaccine sign-ups.
