14-year-old shot in City of Rochester

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A 14-year-old boy was shot in the City of Rochester on Sunday night. 

According to the Rochester Police Department, officers responded to Rosemary Street just before 10 p.m. for the report of a person shot. When they arrived they found the 14-year-old victim, a city resident, with a gunshot wound in his lower body. An investigation revealed that the shooting had taken place in the area of Lyell and North Plymouth Avenues, at which point the victim headed to Rosemary before calling the police.

The unidentified victim was taken to Rochester General Hospital with injuries that are being described as not-life-threatening. 

No one is in custody and anyone with information is asked to call 911.
