Absentee voting already underway, early voting to begin Saturday

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Election Day is just two weeks away Tuesday, and absentee voting is already underway.

Any voter who won’t be in their home county or who’s unable to get to their polling place due to illness, disability or concerns over COVID-19 is eligible to vote absentee.

Monday was the last day to request an absentee ballot by mail. Voters can pick one up at the Monroe County Board of Elections in person through Nov. 1. Click here for more information.

Absentee ballots must be postmarked on or before Election Day, which is Tuesday, Nov. 2 this year, in order to be counted.

Early voting starts Saturday, Oct. 23 at the following locations:

  • Saturday, Oct. 23 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Sunday, Oct. 24 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Monday, Oct. 25 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Oct. 26 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Oct. 27 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Thursday, Oct. 28 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Friday, Oct. 29 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Saturday, Oct. 30 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Sunday, Oct. 31 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
