Arrest made in State Street shooting that killed 2 and left 2 injured

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Rochester Police Department has made an arrest in the Nov. 1 shooting that left two men dead and two others injured on State Street.

Travis Johnson, 31, of Rochester, and Glenn Burden, 36, were shot and killed at around 1:15 a.m. at 429 State St. Two others were shot and injured.

Police say during their investigation, they learned a large Halloween party was taking place at the scene of the shooting.

Friday, with the help of the Greece Police Department, Tireek Burden, 27, was arrested. Police say he had a loaded .40 caliber handgun on him at the time, which was confiscated.

Tireek was charged with second degree murder and second degree criminal possession of a weapon in the death of Travis Johnson.

Police say he was not charged in the death of Glenn Burden, but the investigation is not over and additional charges may be presented to a Grand Jury.
