ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — At least 90 cats were rescued from an early morning house fire in Perinton.
The fire happened at a home on Kreag Road around 1 a.m. Thursday.
Fire crews tell News10NBC that they got help from deputies pulling out dozens of cats from the home. The fire chief didn't know if any animals had died but said a majority of them are okay. The humane society and animal control are taking care of them.
4:22 p.m. UPDATE: As our team continues to rescue cats from the property, we have now removed 90+ cats and kittens, and all are now receiving veterinary care at #LollypopFarm. Some have already found foster homes. Thank you for your continued support! https://t.co/MPspJPecLy pic.twitter.com/hXuzpGxHZ0
