SPENCERPORT, N.Y. (WHEC) — A benefit was held on Saturday in memory of Lisa Dambra, who was hit and killed in December in Greece.

At the time, police said that she had been walking along Dewey Avenue when she was hit and killed by Christopher Moody.

The fundraising benefit honoring her legacy was held at the Estate Marketplace Co-Op in Spencerport. According to family, she was the niece of one of the longtime vendors there.

All proceeds from the event will go directly to help Lisa's daughter and granddaughter.

"We're about 50 vendors, and it's a family," says Joseph Battaglia, the managing partner of the Estate Marketplace. "She had a store in the plaza, she recently moved in with us, and she's taken on a management role here. She's just an important part of the family. It's not something I thought about stepping up to do anything publicity-wise."

Christopher Moody is now charged with second-degree manslaughter for Lisa's death.
