WEBSTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Brian Neenan is no longer the interim superintendent of schools in Webster. He’ll stay on permanently.

Neenan has been part of the district’s administrative team since 2009.

The school board will approve his appointment during its meeting next Tuesday.

It’s been six months since the previous superintendent, Carmen Gumina, abruptly retired.

In April, he was also named in a federal lawsuit against the district.

It was filed by former Webster girls basketball coach Kali Watkins, who was acquitted of rape charges in 2019.

Gumina did not say his retirement had any connection to the lawsuit.
