Brockport Police Department creates ‘Safe Exchange Zone’

BROCKPORT, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Brockport Police Department created a "Safe Exchange Zone".

The area is outside the police station and it’s under 24-hour video surveillance.

The area is intended for private property transactions and child custody exchange.

Other area police departments and sheriff’s offices have similar services, including in Webster, Seneca Falls, Irondequoit and Geneseo.
