CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. (WHEC) — A Canandaigua man is facing charges in connection with a jet-ski crash that led to a good Samaritan's death.
Our news partner, The Messenger Post, is reporting that 36-year-old Raymond Foster was charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
He was with an 8-year-old boy who had fallen into the water on May 16.
Neither Foster nor the boy were wearing life jackets.
The Ontario County Sheriff's Office says 40-year-old Christopher Barber jumped in to help the child, but had a medical event in the water and began drowning.
He was pulled out but died at Thompson Hospital.
