ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)— A tractor-trailer driver was issued a ticket in connection to a crash that killed another driver in Chili  Wednesday morning.

Monroe County Sheriff's Deputies identified the man killed as 67-year-old Tome Srbinovski.

Deputies say the driver was heading east on Beaver Road and failed to stop for a flashing red light/stop sign at the intersection of Chili Scottsville Road when he hit Srbinovski's car as he was heading north on the road.

Srbinovski was in the intersection after stopping at the stop sign.

Both the truck, and Srbinovski's SUV wound up in a grassy ditch. Srbinovski was declared dead at the scene.

The driver was ticketed for failing to stop at the stop sign. Deputies don't believe the truck driver was drunk or on drugs.

MCSO reports it has investigated at least 11 other crashes at the same interaction since Jan. 1, 2017.
